Ava Lewis, 3, is doing great work for the needy in Durham, North Carolina, with her little lemonade stand.
3-year-old girl sells lemonade to buy baby diapers and bottles for mothers in need.
At the beginning of the summer, the little girl approached her mother, Maggie Lewis, and said that she wanted to help other children.
The baby pondered for a long time whether to sell bracelets or lemonade. She decided on lemonade.
Mom was naturally surprised, but she helped her daughter set up a small lemonade stand.
Together, they created a business plan and decided to use all the proceeds from the sales to buy diapers and baby bottles for children whose mothers couldn’t afford them.
The stand was set up near the beauty salon owned by Maggie.
Before starting work, Ava tried out different recipes with her mother and grandmother.
The whole town quickly learned about the baby lemonade.
And now, there is a long line for lemonade. Ava has become a local celebrity.
Recently, she finally achieved her goal.
She sold enough to buy diapers and bottles and donated them to a local charity.
“You have no idea how much it means to us that such a young girl, only three years old, is thinking of others,” said the head of the charity organization.
