This mother recreated her son’s birthmark on her own face. You won’t believe why she did it
A mother always tries to protect her child from all the world’s sorrows. Influencer Carol Giraldelli has made a gesture that touched the internet. Little Enzo was born with a large birthmark on his face, covering part of his forehead and cheek.
This aesthetic difference might have future repercussions. Carol is well aware of this and is already worried that her child might suffer from future discomfort.
To defuse the situation and help him develop a good self-esteem, armed with audacity and courage, she decided to recreate a similar mark on her own face with the help of a makeup artist friend.
On her Instagram account, which has nearly 13,000 followers, Carol posted the famous photo with her son, showing both of them with the same birthmark. The photo received over 5,000 likes.
“I felt the need to do something different for my son, so I created this mark on my face. I wanted to see people’s reactions on the street and at my workplace,” explains Carol.
Of course, it took courage to walk around like that and face people’s gazes. But she was motivated to experience it to put herself in her son’s shoes.
And, above all, to show the world that this aesthetic difference should not define who we are: just because we don’t look like others doesn’t mean we should be seen as curiosities.
