To celebrate their 100th birthday in style, these twins agreed to take part in a very original photo shoot. And let’s just say the talented photographer went all out: the photos are exceptional!
Refreshing and delightful, the setup honors the two women in an enchanting setting. One in pink, the other in blue. They almost look like two “little girls” happily playing in front of the camera. Yet, they are indeed centenarians!
It’s not every day you celebrate a century of existence! Even less so for twin sisters who have spent all these long decades together, sharing both the best and the worst. And isn’t it miraculous to still be here together, hand in hand, to celebrate one final anniversary as a pair?
This is certainly what Maria and Paula Pignaton must have thought. To celebrate their 100 years in 2017, it was essential to mark this special event with a memorable celebration.
In a country-style setting surrounded by lush greenery, the two sisters were surrounded by a pink Volkswagen, balloons, flowers, and cakes. As the stars of the day, these ladies began their 100th year with style and elegance.
The centenarians wore beautiful dresses, had their makeup done, and sported lovely floral crowns. “We were all very excited about this wonderful adventure!” said the photographer.
The twins wanted to look perfect before the shoot: they insisted on making extra efforts to ensure everything was flawless before the photo session. This day had to be absolutely memorable.
Maria and Paula are happy great-grandmothers. Between them, they have 11 children, 27 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren!
Although Paula has had health issues in the past, the two women have always been there for each other and will continue to be until the end of their journey.
