😦 A young man took my grandfather’s deat during the football match: when I tried to protest, grandpa reassured me, saying he was already tired and wanted to go home — we were about to leave when the unexpected happened.
My grandfather loves football and never misses a single match. He is already 92 years old, and walking even a few meters takes a great deal of effort. Despite that, I decided to take him to a match for his birthday.
I had spent all my savings to buy two seats near the pitch. It was one of our team’s most important matches in years, and I wanted my grandfather to be able to watch it from the stadium.
On the day of the match, he put on his favorite scarf and also brought an old photo of my grandmother with him. We were sitting in our seats when he took out the photo and said:
— We’re finally here, my darling.
I couldn’t hold back my tears and went to the restroom. When I returned, I discovered a man sitting in our seats with his wife, while my grandfather was standing beside them.
I approached them to ask for an explanation. The man looked at me with contempt and said:
— He’s very old. He probably won’t even remember this tomorrow, so he can go home.
I wanted to protest, but Grandpa reassured me, saying that he was already tired and wanted to go home. We were about to leave when the unexpected happened.

We were leaving the stadium when a security officer approached us.
He explained that he had noticed everything for the past few minutes and had seen what had happened.
He asked the man to leave our seats.
The man refused and began acting aggressively.
Several security officers then intervened and escorted him out of the stands, in front of the eyes of numerous supporters.
The stadium manager then took the microphone and explained what had happened.
He reminded everyone that no one had the right to humiliate someone because of their age.
The entire section then applauded my grandfather.
We returned to our seats and watched the match until the end.
That evening, my grandfather experienced a birthday he would never forget.
