😯 Before the wedding, my son’s fiancée told me: “The best gift you could give us would be to disappear from our lives.” Those words broke my heart… and here’s what I did.
When my son introduced me to his girlfriend, I immediately liked her. She seemed sweet, thoughtful, and I thought he had found someone special.
But over time, to my surprise, her attitude changed. In front of my son, she remained kind and polite, but when we were alone, she showed a completely different side of herself.
Despite everything, I told myself she was my son’s choice, and if he was happy, I could tolerate her behavior toward me.
The night before the wedding, I went to their house to see if there was anything left to do. My son wasn’t home.
His fiancée let me in, and when I asked how I could help, she simply replied, in a cold tone: “The best gift you could give us would be to disappear from our lives.”
I froze. That night, I couldn’t sleep. And at dawn, I made a decision. Here’s what I did…

I had planned to buy a house for my son and his fiancée, a gift I had been saving for months, a gesture to help them start their life together.
But after what she had said the day before, I no longer felt like offering them anything.
So, I canceled the transaction.
I called the notary and explained the situation.
The house was ready, but I no longer wanted to buy it.
Her request for me to disappear had broken me, but I also realized that such a gift was not for them, not under these conditions.
I sent a message to my son, explaining that the house would not be for them.
I told him that, even though I loved him deeply, there were some things, like respect, that could not be overlooked.
Now it was his turn to choose.
