I had this nightstand for a long time and, instead of getting rid of it, I decided to give it a new life ✨. It was my very first time doing a restoration like this, and the process was really interesting for me 😊.
My dad absolutely loved the final result 👍. You can check it out in the article in the first comment 👇👇👇.
First, I removed the shelf and decided not to replace it, as the nightstand looked much more elegant without it.
To keep things quick and efficient, I used a flush-cut saw.
The shelf had left some marks, which I repaired by adding wood glue into the holes.
I also applied a special primer.
After sanding and a coat of paint, all the imperfections were nicely hidden.
The central panel of the drawer was barely holding together, so I reinforced it with a nail gun.
The final touch was decorating the drawer front.
Using masking tape, I was able to keep the chevron pattern evenly spaced.
This process took me a lot of time, but the result was absolutely worth it.
My dad really loved how it turned out.
He hadn’t believed I could turn such a simple piece of furniture into something so elegant and unique.
He congratulated me warmly on the work I’d done, and it meant a lot to me since his opinion really matters.
In the end, this project not only gave new life to a piece of furniture, but also helped me discover a new passion for restoration!
