When he opened it, he found photos of the four missing girls and a letter dated March 1991.
In the letter, one of the girls recounted the horror they had lived through: the pregnancies were not accidental, but the result of a calculated manipulation by a man named Luc Morel.
The police reopened the case and discovered Luc’s house.
The house was abandoned, filled with torn mattresses, empty cans, and water bottles dating back to 1991.
They also found a school notebook with the girls’ names.
The notes inside were disturbing: “He didn’t come today.” “My stomach hurts.” “We have to leave.”
