😯 “I kept my promise,” said the motorcyclist dressed in a unicorn costume as he entered the church during my daughter’s funeral: everyone was left speechless when they discovered the reason behind his act.
A few weeks ago, my daughter, who was only 7 years old, was hospitalized with leukemia. We did everything we could to save her life, but the disease was much stronger. She died at the hospital, surrounded by her friends and family.
On the day of the funeral, the whole town had come to say their final goodbyes to my daughter. She was a sociable child, and everyone loved her.
Suddenly, the doors of the church opened, and a tall motorcyclist dressed in a unicorn costume entered. Everyone turned toward him. He walked slowly, holding something in his hands.
When he came a little closer, I noticed that it was a small pink ribbon, but I didn’t understand what was happening.
Then, he stopped in the middle of the church, looked at my daughter’s coffin, and said:
— I kept my promise.
What I discovered afterward left me speechless.

The motorcyclist had known my daughter for several weeks.
He had learned about her battle with the disease and, despite his intimidating appearance, he had managed to gain her trust.
One day, while visiting her at the hospital, Lily looked at him with a big smile and asked him in a soft little voice:
— If I can’t go home, can you become a real unicorn for me?
The man was deeply moved by her request.
He took her hand and promised her:
— I swear to you, Lily. If you can’t go home, I will become your unicorn.
Lily thought for a few seconds before adding:
— Then tie a pink ribbon to your horn… That way, I’ll know that this unicorn is mine.
Today, he was there to keep his promise.
And in the church, no one could hold back their tears.
