😯 I spotted something very strange in the forests of Australia, and when I was told what it was, I was stunned.
During my vacation in Australia, a strange shape on one of the trees caught my attention. At first, I thought it was an animal.
I didn’t dare approach, unsure if it was dangerous or not. So, I took a photo from a distance.
Still not understanding what it was, I showed the photo to a few locals, and what they explained to me left me speechless. It wasn’t an animal, but…
Are you curious to know what it was?
Well, I tell you everything in the article in the first comment 👇👇👇.
After showing the photo to several locals, they explained that what I had seen wasn’t an animal.
It was a banksia cone.
It’s a plant structure typical of Australian flora.
These formations, sometimes quite large, resemble cones and are often filled with seeds.
They are iconic plants of Australia, known for their resilience in dry climates and their diversity.
This confusion is not uncommon.
The banksia cones, with their unique shapes and intriguing patterns, often resemble faces or animals, especially when seen from a certain angle.
The locals explained that some, seeing these cones hanging from branches, believed they saw wild creatures or forest spirits.
I was both relieved and amazed.
On one hand, it was a fascinating discovery about the local flora, but on the other hand, the idea that I had been “blinded” by a simple cone made me smile.
