There had been tension between us and our neighbor for a year. It all started when my sister reported her to the homeowners’ association after her dog destroyed our plants.
After that, I noticed several times that my trash cans had been knocked over. Then, one day, my garden hose disappeared. It reappeared a week later, but it had been cut in half. We were convinced that our neighbor was responsible for all of this, but we had no proof.
Then, one morning, I woke up a little late and, when I looked out the window, I discovered that my car was completely covered in pink paint. That was the final straw. She had really crossed the line.
I could no longer tolerate it or remain silent. So I went straight to her house to confront her. She opened the door and calmly greeted me as if nothing had happened.
When I asked her why she had done that to my car, she simply replied that I deserved it. She didn’t even want to apologize.
