The Unbelievable Meeting of Two World Records
She is the smallest woman in the world, standing barely over 60 cm tall, and she recently met the tallest man ever, Sultan Kosen, a 35-year-old from Turkey. At 2.51 meters tall, Kosen is a real skyscraper compared to Jyoti Amge, who is almost the same height as one of the giant’s shoes.
The two recently came together for a photo shoot in Egypt, and the result is simply incredible!
Amge’s height is the result of a form of dwarfism called achondroplasia. She was recognized as the smallest woman in the world in 2001 when she was just 18 years old and weighed only 5 kg!
The petite woman always needs custom-made clothes, plates, and utensils to fit her tiny body. On the other hand, Kosen also needs many of the accessories or items he uses daily to be custom-made, but in the opposite direction.
For our Turkish giant, his height is a consequence of pituitary gigantism. As a result, Sultan Kosen was declared the tallest man in the world in 2001 by the famous Guinness World Records.
“I never imagined I would be included in the record book; I dreamed of it, but it was ultimately a huge surprise,” Kosen said.
In reality, he probably shouldn’t have been surprised, as according to Guinness, only ten people in the world have ever been declared to have a height exceeding 2.43 meters.
