About 38 years ago, this Indian started living with his arms raised to the sky. It’s quite interesting to know the reason behind it. Sadhu (a holy man in Indian culture), this hermit, discovered an astonishing path for himself to achieve unity of the human being (body and mind).
A significant part of his life has been spent with his right arm raised. A hermit who dedicates himself entirely to his God is called a sadhu or Sadhou in India.
For 40 years, he lived an ordinary life with his wife and children, just like any other man.
One day, he decided to leave his family and devote himself to God. For 38 years, he lived a pleasureless life, striving for spiritual perfection, as a result of which the joints of his right arm deteriorated and the nails on that hand were neglected.
Thus, the unwashed holy hand completely lost its cleanliness.
Apart from merging with cosmic consciousness, Amar also achieved earthly success.
He set an exceptional record by holding his hand raised for 38 years.
