One day, I was on the bus with my four-year-old daughter. There weren’t many people, but all the seats were taken.
After a few stops, an elderly lady got on, looking for a seat. My daughter, full of kindness, got up to give her hers. But what she said next caused a general burst of laughter in the bus.

My daughter started speaking quite early, but her sentences were often incomprehensible to strangers.
One day, on the bus, she made everyone laugh with one of her phrases.
There weren’t many people, but all the seats were occupied.
After a few stops, an elderly lady got on the bus.
My daughter noticed that she was standing and watched her for a moment.
Then, she got up and said loudly:
“Grandma, sit in my place!”
The lady was touched by her gesture and sat down, smiling.
Then my daughter added with pride:
“My mom taught me to give up my seat, I always give up to the half-deads.”
The lady was a bit puzzled and tried to understand what my daughter meant exactly.
I explained to her that my daughter had confused the words and, in reality, she meant “to elderly people.”
The lady and the whole bus burst out laughing.
My daughter didn’t understand what was going on, but she was proud that everyone appreciated her gesture.
