This is demonstrated by the young Australian Lucinda, aged 13, with such a good heart that she chose to rescue a group of kittens that she met on her way. And she did it using money given to her for her birthday, according to Herald Sun published on November 19, 2015.
A few days after her birthday, the little girl accidentally discovered 5 abandoned kittens while she was riding her bicycle in her neighborhood. She said they seemed lost and abandoned. However, they were so adorable and helpless that she couldn’t leave them on the street.
“It was rainy that day, so I rushed home to get a laundry basket and put them under cover,” she added. Incredibly, when she returned to pick up the little ones, 9 other kittens came heading towards her. She was speechless: Lucinda, against all odds, became the guardian of 14 kittens.
Once she got home, the girl called the Lort Smith Veterinary Center in Melbourne and set up a meeting with the team. But he needed a vehicle to transport all the cats to the clinic. This is why she had the wonderful initiative of using the money she had received as a birthday present.
“A few days ago, one of my parents gave me a $50 gift for my birthday. So I thought I’d put it to good use and take a taxi to take all these adorable kittens to Lort Smith,” she says with pride.
Upon their arrival at the clinic, the kittens received all the necessary care to be placed in new caring homes. All this would not have been possible without the kindness and great goodness of the girl.
