😦 A man suggested that I lock myself in the airplane bathroom with my baby so that his cries wouldn’t be heard, and then something unexpected happened.
It was my first flight with my baby, and he was suffering from teething pain, which made him particularly fussy from the moment we took off. He was crying louder and louder despite all my efforts to calm him down.
I could tell it was bothering the other passengers, and I could feel their judging stares. Most people had put on their headphones to ignore his cries, but one man, in particular, seemed increasingly annoyed.
Finally, he got up from his seat and came towards me. In a sharp tone, he said, “Can you finally make that child quiet? I want to rest, or else go into the bathroom so we don’t have to hear his crying.”
I felt ashamed of the situation. I couldn’t think of another solution, so I got up and made my way to the bathroom with my baby.
As I was getting up, something unexpected happened.
The rest of my story is in the article in the first comment 👇👇👇.
As I was heading towards the bathroom, a flight attendant invited me to follow her.
Thinking she was going to guide me to the back of the plane, I followed her without thinking.
To my surprise, she led me to first class, a spacious and peaceful area, far from the hustle and bustle of the economy class.
She told me to sit down and calm my son there.
A little confused, I sat down, and within a few minutes, the tranquility soothed my child, who fell asleep in my lap.
It was an unexpected moment, but so comforting.
