Babies usually come into the world with either bald heads or just a few hairs on their heads.
However, in the UK, there is a family where both brothers were born with a lush mane on their heads.
A mother gives birth to two unique sons, surprising even the midwives.
Lindsay Shelton from Northampton became famous throughout the small town and then across the British Isles with her children.
She has two sons, George and Stanley.
At first glance, they seem like ordinary boys. However, both were born with very thick hair on their heads.
When the eldest, George, was born, the midwives even had to carry scissors into the delivery room.
The newborn’s hair completely covered his eyes and reached down to the tip of his nose.
Furthermore, the baby’s hair grew quickly. In the first six months alone, the parents had to cut the baby’s hair three times (every two months).
The haircut became even more complicated as George really didn’t like getting his hair cut.
The first time the parents took the boy to the hairdresser, he was nine months old.
The hairdresser was so surprised that he even asked to take a photo of George. He had never seen such hair on children before.
Four years later, the Shelton family welcomed another son. Stanley also had long hair, and within a few months, they straightened up and began to grow significantly vertically.
As Lindsay’s husband Simon noticed, “It feels like he’s had an electric shock.” To style Stanley’s hair, they even had to use gel to flatten it.
“The boy can hardly ever wear a hat. It just won’t stay on his head,” jokes his mother.
Unlike his brother, Stanley actually enjoys going to the hairdresser.
Doctors attribute the genetics as the reason for such hair in the Shelton brothers. Both parents also have thick hair that grows quickly.
