😲 During my recent vacation, a young man asked me to take his photo and then send him the pictures. When our guide saw this, he came over and told me not to send any pictures to this man. When he explained why, I was frozen in place.
This story took place during my recent vacation when my friend and I decided to go on a boat excursion.
We were supposed to do some snorkeling and then visit a small island. The island was really beautiful. My friend was taking pictures of me when a fairly attractive young man approached us.
He explained that his phone was out of battery, but he would love to have some photos of himself on the island. He asked me to take pictures of him and send them to him later.
I agreed, of course. He thanked me and gave me his phone number so I could send him the pictures.
At that moment, our guide intervened and told me not to send anything to this man. They started arguing in a language I didn’t understand.
Eventually, the young man left. When I understood the reason for our guide’s actions, I was frozen in place.
I wanted to share this story with you to inform you and to make you more cautious during your future vacations.
The rest of my story is in the article in the first comment 👇👇👇.
The guide explained to me that this young man was part of a group that targets tourists in this way.
Once the photos are sent, he starts messaging you, reassuring you that he has fallen in love with you.
After a while, he invites you to meet up.
That’s when he takes the opportunity to steal your passport, and the rest, you can imagine.
I’m incredibly grateful to our guide, who intervened and saved me.
I understand that he was only responsible for our safety during the excursion, and that what happened afterward wasn’t his problem, but he chose to help me and not remain indifferent.
So, like him, I’ve decided not to stay indifferent and share this story with you so that you can be more cautious.
