😲 “After his death, we’ll send the old woman to a nursing home”: I heard that from my son as I woke up from a coma… and then I did something he never would have imagined.
I had survived a stroke and had been in a coma. Then one day, I opened my eyes while my children were in my hospital room.
What I heard was truly horrible. My son said coldly, “After his death, we’ll send the old woman to a nursing home.”
I immediately closed my eyes again so they wouldn’t notice I was awake, so I could understand everything.
“After the funeral, we’ll sell everything. We should already start preparing the paperwork,” my son added.
“Okay, but in the meantime, we need to pretend to be sad,” my daughter replied.
I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. It felt like a nightmare. Listening to them, I realized the doctors had given no hope, and they were already talking about their future plans.
I stayed silent, even though I wanted to scream. I was afraid they would discover I was awake. I had seen their true faces, and I understood that if they learned I had heard everything, we would be in danger.
So I did nothing and waited for them to leave.
Later, when my wife came to see me, I told her everything. And the next day, when our children returned, my bed was empty.

In the middle of the night, I was transferred to another hospital.
There, I was finally safe, surrounded by kind people.
This new environment allowed me to reflect clearly on what I had just heard.
A few days later, I asked to see a notary.
I changed my will: instead of leaving my belongings to my children, I chose to give most of it to a foundation that helps abandoned elderly people, as well as to a hospital that saves lives every day.
As for our house, it will go entirely to my wife—the only one who remained loyal to me.
