The photographer decided to conduct a patriotic photo shoot with the Canadian flag in a picturesque forest near a lake. He set up the flag as a prop and began setting up his camera.
However, in just half an hour the flag disappeared – it was dragged away by beavers, and, fortunately, the camera captured this unexpected incident.
Mike Digout, who lives in Saskatoon, often does these types of photo shoots. Typically, photographs with the Canadian flag against the backdrop of beautiful local nature are commissioned by patriotic organizations for various events and promotions.
This time, Mike specially placed the flag near a beaver dam, a symbol of one of Canada’s national animals. He expected to take some impressive pictures, but he had no idea that the beaver would come so close and show such interest in the flag.
At that moment I was busy setting up the camera. When I turned around, I saw a beaver looking at the flag with interest. He stood nearby for a while, and then suddenly grabbed the flag with his teeth and dragged it to his dam,” Digaut shared with reporters.
The camera filmed the entire process:
The beaver was probably attracted not by the flag itself, but by the wooden supports on which it was attached. This incident was an unusual and fun addition to Mike’s work, who, despite the loss of the props, received unique footage for his collection.
