Doctors had to admit that Noah had no chance of survival after his birth.
The boy was diagnosed with a rare spinal condition, and in addition, Noah’s brain was almost entirely absent. Less than 2% gray matter.
Despite the dire predictions, the child proved to be a true fighter. He not only survived but will soon be going to school.
The parents received information about the boy’s condition before his birth.
Doctors had already said that the child would not survive, says Noah’s mother Shelly, but then a miracle happened.
After numerous spinal surgeries, doctors managed to partially address the problem. Now the child looks very happy.
Noah’s brain couldn’t develop due to the massive cyst. After its removal, few believed the brain could start growing, but another miracle happened.
Noah is now five years old. He can already speak, write, and spell his name. In the future, the parents hope for another miracle – they want the boy to be able to walk.
So far, Noah has been confined to a wheelchair.
A hip operation that doctors plan to perform next year could help the child walk again.
The mother says, “He talks so much and says words. He has started writing, can follow my finger, and write his name.
Something amazing is happening… he amazes us every day.”
