😦 When I came home a little earlier than expected, I found my mother cleaning my mother-in-law’s bathroom. And that wasn’t all. When I helped her get back on her feet, I noticed marks around her wrist. When I realized that my husband knew about everything, I decided to teach them both a lesson once and for all.
One day, I came home a little earlier than expected because my meetings had been canceled. When I walked in, the children ran toward me shouting:
— Mom, come, you need to help Grandma. She’s tired and can’t take it anymore.
They led me to the bathroom, where my mother was cleaning the floor. I was really very surprised. We had housekeepers, and I couldn’t understand why my mother was doing their work.
She explained to me that, while I was away, my mother-in-law forced her to do various chores around the house because she was staying with us for free.
But that wasn’t all. As I helped her get back on her feet, I noticed marks around her wrist and realized that my mother-in-law was mistreating her. Then my husband appeared behind me, and from his reaction, I understood that he knew about everything.
So I decided to teach him and my mother-in-law a lesson once and for all.

I decided not to confront them immediately.
For several days, I discreetly had all our documents checked.
There was one thing my mother-in-law didn’t know: the house, the cars, the savings accounts, and even several investments were solely in my name.
My husband had no rights to these assets.
I legally transferred the funds my husband was entitled to, while protecting my personal assets, and then I asked my lawyer to prepare the necessary legal proceedings.
A few weeks later, I calmly told them that they had to leave the house.
My husband and my mother-in-law were speechless when they realized that they no longer had any rights to what they already considered their property.
That day, I made them understand that by mistreating my mother, they had lost far more than a house: they had permanently lost my trust and their place in my life.
