š¦ Everyone was making fun of Leo because of his prosthetic leg: one day, while the students had surrounded him and were mocking him, a new girl at the school walked over, and what she did was truly unexpected.
After an accident, Leo had lost his leg and wore a prosthesis, but the worst part wasnāt thatāit was that his classmates had turned him into a constant target of ridicule. They called him ārobotā and bullied him every day.
One day, in the schoolyard where the teachers couldnāt see them, the students surrounded Leo. One of them stepped closer, tapped his prosthetic leg, and said mockingly: āSo, whatās it like not to feel your leg?ā
Even though Leo couldnāt feel pain in that area, he lost his balance from the push and fell. He started crying, but the students didnāt stop and kept laughing at him.
A Black girl, new to the school, had been silently watching the scene like the others. Then she walked over to Leo. One might have thought she would join in to avoid being targeted herself, but what she did next was truly unexpected.

The new student stepped between the boys and stood in front of Leo.
She looked at them calmly but firmly.
āLeave him alone,ā she said decisively.
The teasing stopped for a moment.
She helped Leo up and added, āWhat youāre doing is bullying.ā
The students looked at each other, surprised.
Then she continued, āMy father is a police officer, and if anyone humiliates or touches him again, Iāll report everything.ā
Leo finally felt supported and safe.
The boys stepped back, and from that day on, the bullying stopped completely.
