😲 I invited a young unknown girl to a family dinner: as soon as she walked in, everyone froze upon seeing her.
For months, every family dinner at my parents’ house had turned into a real theater performance. My aunts, my cousins, and even my mother’s friends never missed an opportunity to ask me uncomfortable questions about why I wasn’t married yet.
And the worst part: they would suggest a new “candidate” for the role of the perfect wife every time. I was the only heir in the family who wasn’t married, and believe me, the pressure was intense.
But one day, before one of these dinners, I had a rather crazy idea.
I stopped by a flower shop, and there I met the shop assistant. A simple young girl, but full of charm. On a whim, I asked her: “Would you like to come with me to a family dinner, as my girlfriend?”
To my surprise, she agreed to play along and listened to my whole story.

My mother took me aside to explain who this girl really was.
“She’s your sister,” she said, in a calm voice, but full of emotion.
“She’s the result of an affair your father had years ago.”
