😲 I noticed that a crow was picking up small pieces of trash and putting them into a small box. When I realized why it was doing this, I was left speechless.
During my last vacation in Sweden, I was peacefully sitting in a park, enjoying the nice weather and observing the passersby. There were many crows around, but one of them particularly intrigued me.
It was picking up trash, putting it in a small box, then taking something from inside and flying away. I couldn’t figure out why it was doing that or what it was taking from the box.
Then I noticed that other crows were doing exactly the same thing. I wanted to get closer to see what was inside the box, but I didn’t want to scare them.
At that moment, an old man sitting on a bench next to me saw my curiosity and came over to talk to me. He explained what was happening. I was deeply surprised by the intelligence of these birds and their ability to adapt and understand a system created by humans.
I’m telling you all the details in the article in the first comment 👇👇👇.
The old man, seeing my astonishment, explained to me: “These boxes are a system set up by the city to encourage crows to pick up trash.
Humans have placed food inside to attract them, but here’s the catch: to access the food, the crows must first deposit something inside.”
He then showed me that each box had a slot, and in order to take the food inside, the birds had to insert an object first, like a small piece of trash.
It was an exchange: the crows helped keep the city clean by collecting litter, and in return, they were rewarded with food.
I had never imagined that these birds could be involved in such an ingenious system.
It was a perfect example of cooperation between humans and nature to improve the urban environment.
I was truly impressed!
