š¦ I saw something strange in my grandparents’ garden and was surprised to discover what it was.
Every Sunday, I visit my grandparents. During my last visit, something strange caught my attention in their garden. As I approached, I first thought I was seeing a flower, but when I looked closer, it seemed to be covered in mud or ash. This detail immediately intrigued me.
Not understanding what it was, I decided to take a photo and share it on social media to see if anyone could help me identify this strange plant.
My grandfather, who had noticed my interest, then explained what it was. I was truly surprised by this discovery.
I want to share my story with you so that youāll be informed, in case you notice something like this in your own garden.
The full story is in the first comment below ššš.
Seeing my surprise, my grandfather approached with a smile.
He explained that what I had seen in the garden was actually a Mycenastrum, an edible mushroom.
“Donāt worry, itās not a dangerous mushroom,” he said, pointing out the strange shape of the mushroom.
He explained that when it is very young, it is entirely white and looks like a small ball.
Thatās when it should be eaten.
Over time, it takes on a brownish or even earthy hue, which is what I had noticed.
He assured me that this mushroom, although a bit strange, was perfectly safe as long as it was properly prepared.
A fascinating discovery for me!
