A woman asked a question on Reddit after experiencing something unusual in her home.
She noted that she was planning her wedding with her fiancé and had purchased her wedding dress a few weeks before posting her post.
Like most women, OP wanted to look stunning on her big day. She spent $3,000 on her dress, not knowing that someone else would wear it first.
Shortly after purchasing her dress, her fiancé’s mother asked to try it on, saying she really liked wedding dresses.
Her future mother-in-law kept pestering her about OP’s refusal and even offered to pay $100 to try it. She came home from work one day and was surprised to see her fiancé at home.
“He freaked out after seeing me and tried to stop me from entering my room while trying to message someone on his phone,” she recalled.
She entered her room cautiously and saw her future mother-in-law inside. The woman was surprised to see that her fiancé’s mother was wearing her brand new wedding dress.
Shocked by her future mother-in-law’s audacity, she threatened to show the photo to everyone in the family if the elderly woman did not buy her a new dress.
The editor gave the elderly woman three days to pay for a new wedding dress, but her fiancé felt she was overreacting.
The groom’s mother left the room in tears, while the husband yelled at his fiancée and claimed his mother had done nothing wrong and just wanted to try on the dress.
“But I refused to listen to her because, in my opinion, the dress should only be worn by the bride and groom,” the OP said.
