“I rushed into marriage with Marina. There was no love between us. It was just a one-time offer, and she accepted.

Things moved on, and I had to get married at the age of seventeen. Marina wanted me to start working, but I ignored her wishes and enrolled in a polytechnic institute.

I attended classes in the morning, worked on projects during the day, and unloaded train cars from nine p.m. until one a.m. to pay for our community apartment and earn a living.
