I had been dating Kevin for a few months, and I was excited to introduce him to my parents. For a while, he had refused, saying he was very busy with his work.
Kevin is a mechanic, and he told me he couldn’t leave the garage. But eventually, he agreed.
My family was hosting a dinner, and I felt it was the perfect time for the introduction. My parents were very eager to meet him. My mom had prepared his favorite dishes and had been in the kitchen for hours.

He had been scamming people, promising car repairs, then leaving them with nothing.
