😦 My daughter-in-law threw away the 100 rabbits my grandson had made for sick children in the hospital, saying they were just trash, without imagining what would happen next.
My grandson is nine years old. Three years ago, he lost his mother. That period was very difficult for him: he had stopped laughing and barely spoke. But with the help of a good psychiatrist, we managed to help him recover.
Then my son remarried a woman who, honestly, does not get along very well with my grandson. But my son always defended her by saying, “Give her time, she’s not used to children.”
One day, my grandson came with a small handmade rabbit.
“Look, Grandma, I made it myself at school.”
The next day, I saw him preparing more rabbits. I went up to him and asked, “What are you doing?”
“I want to make a lot of them to give to the children in the hospital, so they won’t feel alone,” he told me, his eyes shining. Then he spent his days making them, using his mother’s old sweaters.
One day, I walked into the house and saw my daughter-in-law throwing his rabbits into the trash, while my grandson stood next to her crying.
When I asked her, surprised, why she had done that, she simply replied that they were just trash, without imagining what would happen next.

Meanwhile, none of us had noticed that my son had also come home and had seen and heard everything.
He had stopped in the hallway, silent, and watched the whole situation without saying a word.
He heard his wife’s cold words; he saw his son’s tears.
When he entered the room, his wife did not expect it at all.
Without shouting, he took his son in his arms.
That day, he decided to file for divorce, because he had finally seen his wife’s true face.
