It all started on the plane, just before the flight. I was quietly sitting in my seat when a couple came to sit next to me. When the wife got up to go to the bathroom, her husband made a brief phone call.

At first, nothing seemed strange to me, until he said: “Yes, my love, I missed you so much, but today I need to stay with my wife. I’ll come to your place tomorrow.”

That’s when I realized he was talking to his mistress. Honestly, I was shocked. When his wife came back, they were both very affectionate towards each other, like a couple in a romantic comedy.

The wife, by the way, had a unique beauty. She spoke with an infinite sweetness and clear tenderness towards her husband. At that moment, I wondered how anyone could betray such a beautiful and kind woman.
