One day, while cleaning our garage, I came across this old dressing table ✨. It had completely slipped my mind until that moment, but as soon as I saw it, an idea for restoration came to my mind.
At first, my daughter didn’t really believe it was a good idea 🤔. But as she saw the transformation process, she started to become more and more interested 👀.
The result impressed her so much that she wanted to keep it for herself 😍. I’m sharing the entire process and the final result in the article in the first comment 👇👇👇.
A piece of marble was missing, and the dressing table didn’t have a mirror, so I started by restoring the marble.
To bring back its shine, I applied calcium carbonate.
The wood also needed some repairs.
I glued a corner of the shelf and concealed the nail holes on the left leg.
Since the holes for the handles were small, I enlarged them to fit new handles.
As for the marble, I used linseed oil, which restored its shine.
After a few coats of paint, I applied a varnish to protect it.
The final result exceeded all my expectations. My daughter loved it so much that she wanted to use it in her room.
She set it up in her room, and the dressing table blended perfectly with her decor.
