I have always been one of those women who cares about her appearance in all circumstances, but after the birth of our daughter, everything changed.
I was exhausted and out of shape because I spent my days taking care of her, and I had no time left for myself.
Honestly, I didn’t even feel like putting on makeup or wearing nice dresses at home anymore. Even when I went out for walks with the baby, I dressed simply and didn’t wear any makeup.
One day, my husband told me, “You don’t care about being beautiful for me anymore.” I was really surprised because he was always at work. He knew well that I had no help with the baby and that she took up all my time.
These words deeply hurt me. But that wasn’t all: he continued by saying, “Either you put on makeup and dress nicely at home, or I find a mistress.”

I replied calmly, but firmly, “Okay, I’ll go back to being the way I was before, but on one condition: you have to share the responsibility of taking care of our daughter with me.”
At first, he hesitated, but after a while, he agreed.
For three days a week, he took care of the baby, and the rest of the time, it was my turn.
Those three days were a real relief for me.
I could finally take care of myself, put on makeup, dress nicely, go out, and relax.
After just two weeks, I became the woman I was before: fit, radiant, ready to face the world.
But my husband, with the baby, couldn’t manage anything.
He was exhausted, stressed, and always out of shape.
He had underestimated how hard it was to take care of a child alone.
