One day, while looking out the window, I discovered my swimming pool filled with colorful plastic balls: what was hidden at the bottom made us call the police

😦 One day, while looking out the window, I discovered my swimming pool filled with colorful plastic balls. What was hidden at the bottom made us call the police.

My six-year-old son disappeared three years ago. We were at the town’s annual festival, where there was a huge crowd. I let go of his hand for just a few seconds, and when I turned around, he was gone.

Hundreds of people helped the police search for him, but without success. Posters, witness statements, and investigations led nowhere.

His absence was unbearable, and every corner of the house reminded me of him. He loved playing with colorful plastic balls, and I never had the courage to throw them away after he disappeared.

Then, one morning, I woke up and looked out the window. I froze at what I saw: the swimming pool was completely filled with colorful plastic balls.

I couldn’t understand who could have done such a thing. But that wasn’t all. Looking more closely, I noticed a strange shape beneath the balls.

I immediately called my husband. What we discovered at the bottom of the pool made us call the police.

There was a box filled with many keepsakes from our son: drawings, letters, bracelets, and small toys.

After the box was discovered, the police continued their investigation to find out how it had ended up in the swimming pool.

Detective Rios questioned the people involved and discovered that a woman from the community center, Mrs. Lewis, had moved the box.

She explained that the neighborhood children had kept the memories left at our son’s memorial for three years.

No one had wanted to throw them away because everyone had a story connected to him.

Wanting to honor the boy, volunteers decided to return the box near our house before the annual festival, never imagining the fear they would cause.

My daughter cut her hair to make a wig for her friend who has cancer, and the next day her principal called me and said: “Come to the school immediately! You won’t believe what happened…”
