A priest excludes an autistic child from the First Communion, claiming that the boy disturbs the people present

Every child should be loved and surrounded by care.

They deserve to be accepted by everyone because unfortunately, there are children with special characteristics that set them apart from typical children.

But this should not hinder such children from growing up with their peers, playing with them, and experiencing the same things as others.

Parents of children with autism know very well what it means to have a special child because it’s not easy to take care of them.

They do everything possible to integrate their children into society.

However, there are people who are not compassionate and lack kindness. And it is very surprising when one of these people is a priest.

Cristian is a 10-year-old boy with autism. His parents, Daniele and Monia, are trying to ensure that their son grows up like any other child.

Cristian was supposed to participate in the First Communion ceremony with children his age.

However, during the rehearsal, the priest decided that the boy should communicate on a different day in the sacristy, when there aren’t many people in the church.

The priest of the church in Abruzzo, Italy, suggested to the parents to bring their son on another day, as the child’s behavior during the ceremony might affect others.

So, the parents decided that their son would receive communion in a different church.

Don Antonio already knew that the boy was autistic; the parents had explained the situation to him, and the priest told them that before God, every person is equal.

And now, since the child didn’t stay in his place during the rehearsal, the priest changed his mind.

Cristian’s First Communion took place in a different church, where many people were present.

And during the communion, people supported the boy and his parents.
