😲 She was waiting alone at the bus stop, convinced her grandfather would come back, but what the police discovered was truly terrifying.
During their patrol, two police officers noticed a little girl, about six years old, sitting all alone at the bus stop. She was clutching an old teddy bear and looking around as if she were searching for someone.
One of the officers approached her.
“Hi there, sweetheart. What are you doing here all by yourself?”
“I’m waiting for my grandfather. He went to get me some ice cream and told me to wait here, otherwise you would take me away.”
Then she looked the officer in the eyes and started to cry, saying:
“I didn’t move, please don’t take me away.”
“I’m cold and scared, but I didn’t move, I promise.”
The officer brought her a blanket and some hot chocolate to warm her up, while his colleagues searched for her grandfather. What they discovered next was truly horrible.

After a few minutes, one of them was urgently called to a small grocery store two streets away.
On the sidewalk, an elderly man was lying unconscious, surrounded by a few worried witnesses.
Emergency responders were trying to revive him, but unfortunately, it was already too late.
In his pocket, they found an ID: it was indeed the grandfather.
He had suffered a cardiac arrest on his way to the store.
