In general, retirement is most anticipated for many people, but not for this elderly woman.
Meet this determined and strong woman, Virginia Oliver, known as “Ginny”.
Her story is very inspiring as she has been working on lobster boats for almost 90 years.
Grandmother was born in 1920 on Clarendon Street in Maine and still lives there.
The elderly woman has always cherished and admired her life by the sea since her childhood.
Later, after marrying her husband, they built a new house near her sweet childhood home.
Then they had their 4 children and lived their quiet life together.
Ginny began her beloved fishing career at the age of just 8 years old.
She would go lobster fishing with her father and brother and sell the seafood to local businesses.
Furthermore, she admits that her favorite food is seafood, especially when she prepares homemade lobster rolls with grilled bread using her hands.
The courageous 100-year-old grandmother knows she’s enjoying her last days.
However, she has adopted a motto that has guided her through life.
As she says, “I won’t live forever, so why bother me?”.
She is a powerful and exceptional woman who is content with her long career.
And she wants to keep working as long as her age and health permit.
