Aurora, a three-year-old girl from an Australian village, was playing in the yard and then decided to wander off.
The young child went in an unknown direction and, moving away from home, got lost.
Fortunately, Aurora wasn’t alone; their pet dog named Max followed her everywhere she went.
Max was a good, elderly dog, both deaf and nearly blind.
When the parents noticed their daughter was missing, they immediately contacted the police. The police began searching for Aurora until midnight but to no avail.
Several volunteers also joined in the search for the child, restarting early in the morning.
At eight o’clock in the morning, the rescuers managed to find the little girl two kilometers away from their home.
They first noticed Max coming towards them. The old dog led the people to the child.
The girl was wet, but luckily, she was fine and only had a few scratches.
The devoted dog was 17 years old. Despite being deaf and almost blind, Max had protected his little human friend all night long.
The rescuers were surprised that such a young child could traverse so many dry bushes and slopes and go so far.
Fortunately, throughout the night, the devoted dog remained by his little owner’s side, protecting her from various dangers and the nighttime cold.
