Paul Soproni, a forty-year-old man, attended a friend’s wedding in Bargoyd, Wales, and was surprised to discover that the bride was actually the woman he was having an affair with: Alisha Pilava.
As explained by the Mirror newspaper, over the years, Paul had proposed to Alisha several times, but she had always declined.
While Paul was in a state of surprise, the music started playing.
Alisha grabbed the microphone and sang the Motown song “It Should’ve Been Me” before getting down on one knee in front of Paul to propose.
The guests were aware of what was happening but chose to play along with the bride and not spoil the surprise.
Paul was perplexed, initially rejected the proposal, and quickly left the party to avoid offending anyone.
However, he quickly returned, embraced the woman, and accepted the marriage proposal.
Alisha claimed that over the course of more than two years, Paul had proposed to her about thirty times a day.
As a student of human resource management and managing two tire repair workshops, she found it tiring to constantly receive marriage proposals.
Furthermore, she had been married twice before and was not eager to go through that experience again.
The recent spouses met a few years ago at a party, and currently, Paul is employed at one of the tire production centers run by Alisha.
The woman assured that it was not easy to plan everything in secret, and her boyfriend had doubts several times about what she was hiding from him.
However, Alisha justified that she needed solitude.
Paul also came home very late from work, and the woman took this opportunity to start planning the wedding ceremony.
That day, when she proposed to marry me, I thought it was a joke. Even now, I don’t believe that we are married.
It’s astonishing that Alisha had prepared everything on her own, and I didn’t detect anything.
