Anna has been the center of attention at Cannes, where she presented “Rosalie,” a film featuring Benjamin Biolay’s daughter.
However, she faced criticism regarding her physical appearance, which greatly angered her parents.

Being the granddaughter of Catherine Deneuve and Marcello Mastroianni, Anna was an easy target.

However, family ties do not justify the unwarranted mockery of her physical appearance, which she has been subjected to in recent days.
After walking the red carpet, Anna became the target of numerous rude critiques, which deeply upset her family.
Her aunt, Coralie, wrote a lengthy post on Instagram expressing her outrage: “For an entire day, my 20-year-old niece has been subjected to vile remarks about herself. In addition to being ‘the daughter of’ and not having any special skills or being obliged to work (of course!), she is being called a dog or even a severely disabled person… in short, she is being criticized for her looks and ugliness and denied a place in the French film industry.”
She supported Anna by stating: “This extremely sensitive young woman is devastated to read such dark criticisms when she was simply selected to act in a beautiful film based on her hard work, perseverance, and undeniable talent (which is essential!)… I am appalled to see what some mothers can post on social platforms.”
On his part, Anna’s father also expressed his support for his daughter, of whom he is extremely proud. He shared the remarks made by a professor at the University of Cergy against his daughter and called on Parisian universities to take a stand and denounce such unacceptable behavior.
