The American girl named Hadley had been at St. Jude Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, for months. The child was battling acute myeloid leukemia.
Thanks to excellent treatment and perfect doctors, the girl managed to recover. The recovery of the little patient was a real celebration not only for the girl’s parents but also for the hospital staff.
The staff at this hospital has a beautiful tradition for those who manage to overcome cancer. For such patients, they organize a real party they call “Chemotherapy is Over.”
On that day, the medical team gathered outside Hadley’s door, then all entered singing a song created specifically for such an occasion called “Chemotherapy is Over.”
This song left all their little patients smiling and happy.
When the special celebration began, the girl’s parents and grandfather were in her room.
Then, ten doctors and nurses entered the girl’s room, with smiles and applause.
Next, the medical team began to sing their created nursery rhyme. They sang about their patients having the cutest smiles and the sweetest hearts.
They asked them to pack their bags to leave because there’s no more need for chemotherapy!
At the end of the rhyme, the doctors covered the girl in shimmering confetti and offered a bouquet of balloons.
