I had many projects to complete at the workshop during the holidays.

However, I managed to complete one essential project: restoring a chair from my wife’s office.

My wife had found it on the street and couldn’t just leave it there.

The only repair needed was to stabilize the chair’s structure since it was slightly wobbly.

To reinforce the structure, I added two pine battens.

I did all the work in our backyard, but since it was cold, after painting the chair, I brought it inside to let it dry.

To improve adhesion and avoid sanding the surface, I added a bit of plaster to the paint.

After a few coats of paint to achieve a satin finish, I applied a transparent wax.

I made the seat from a 10mm plywood piece, cut to match the shape of the original seat.

Next, I filled it with 20mm foam, covered it with wadding, and used the fabric my wife had chosen.

In the end, I stapled the edges, and the chair was ready to use.

It was not only comfortable but also perfectly suited for her office.

My wife really appreciated the final result.
