A couple of hikers stumbled upon a backpack wedged in a crevice.
Inside, they found the missing man’s notebook and a map with a strange annotation, one that had been absent from the initial searches.
The investigation was reopened.
Rescue teams found several clues: a torn piece of fabric, marks on the walls, and a campsite.
The notebook contained troubling notes: “can’t move anymore”, “injury”, as well as an unfinished sentence mentioning the daughter.
A modern rope, which wasn’t part of the original expedition gear, was found, along with recent footprints, suggesting that another person may have intervened.
