My mother loves getting rid of old furniture to buy new pieces 🛋️. This time, she was planning to throw away an old wooden stool, but I had a great idea for a transformation 💡🔨. Look at the result I achieved 😍✨. She loved it 😊👍.
This stool had been in our attic for a very long time, and my mother had finally decided to get rid of it.
I had a brilliant idea for transformation and decided to keep it.
I was drawn to its deep turquoise color and worn look, which gave it a unique charm.
My experience has taught me that items that retain their original appearance blend perfectly into the decor.
First, I removed three layers of old paint using a heat gun.
Then, I carefully sanded it to eliminate all imperfections.
The hardest part was removing the plywood seat.
I had to cut them and drill holes to take them out.
Since I wanted to use it outdoors, I chose alkyd paint for the frame.
I applied four coats of paint, and while it was drying, I started working on the seat.
I selected suitable boards, sanded them with an angle grinder, and cut them to the required length.
All that was left was to attach the seat to the frame, which my husband did.
Finally, I ended up with a functional table, a plant stand for the garden, or a stool.
