Marios Giannakou, a Greek athlete with impressive feats, goes beyond human limits to achieve an extraordinary accomplishment🤗 Accompanied by Eleftheria Tosiou, a young woman in a wheelchair with an audacious dream, he undertakes an epic ascent, defying gravity and expectations😮 In this poignant adventure, Marios does not only conquer physical heights, but elevates dreams and the human spirit to unimaginable levels🥰 Discover how, with courage and determination, he transforms a dream into reality, redefining what it means to be a hero in the modern world
Marios met Eleftheria Tosiou, a 22-year-old biology student. Like you and me, she had a dream. Except her dream was to see the summit of Mount Olympus – you know, the mountain of the gods.
But here’s the small complication: Eleftheria is in a wheelchair. But guess what? Marios decided that nothing would stop her from reaching that summit.
He told a Greek newspaper: “For me, all the international races, medals, and awards up to now are worth nothing compared to this goal.”
So, Marios did what no one would have imagined. He carried Eleftheria on his back, literally. With a support team of eight people, they began the ascent of Mytikas, the highest peak of Olympus.
Imagine that: carrying someone on your back while climbing a mountain. And it wasn’t just a walk in the park. After reaching 2,400 meters, they stopped to rest – they had certainly earned it. But at 6 a.m. the next day, they resumed their climb, more determined than ever.
Finally, after more than 10 hours of hard work, they reached the summit. It was 9:02 a.m. At that moment, they were not only at the top of Olympus but at the top of the world.
Marios shared a message on Instagram after this incredible experience: “There is nothing more real than a dream.”
