Alexander Santos and his current wife, Heather, met in high school. After a few years, in 2019, they started dating and soon welcomed their first child.
However, in November of last year, they received news that completely devastated their lives. Alexander was diagnosed with an advanced stage of non-seminomatous germ cell tumor in a terminal stage.
With time now measured in months or years, he decided to make one last meaningful gesture: to marry the love of his life.
With the help of the staff at Piedmont Columbus Regional Hospital in Columbus, Georgia, a heartwarming wedding ceremony and hospital celebration were organized where Alexander was hospitalized.
People from all over participated, the environment was decorated, and Publix provided a wedding cake. The bride and groom wore wedding attire, and the entire day was unforgettable.
The marriage proposal had taken place just four days before.
“After the ceremony, I said, ‘I am with the person I love, and I wouldn’t change anything in the world,'” Mr. Alexander said.
A GoFundMe page was created to raise funds to support medical expenses.
