😲 A mother insisted that a Black passenger give up her seat for her son: the pilot’s response left everyone stunned.
The flight had just taken off. I was comfortably seated and absorbed in my book when I heard some noise. I stood up to see what was happening.
A blonde woman in her thirties was arguing with another Black woman. From their conversation, I understood that she wanted her to change seats.
“Excuse me, you took my son’s seat,” she said sharply.
At first, I thought she might be right, but the passenger calmly stood up and replied, “I don’t think so. This is 12A, here is my ticket.”
The authoritative mother rolled her eyes while chewing gum and continued, “No, you need to move. My son doesn’t want a middle seat. You’re going to have to go to the back.”
Then she leaned in and insisted loudly enough for everyone to hear.
