😦 A rude customer threw a cold coffee in my face, saying I was “too slow” and accusing me of pretending to have a disability to gain sympathy: then something completely unexpected happened.
After a serious accident, I lost my leg and now wear a prosthesis. Working on my feet all day in a café is very painful, but I have to keep going to support my children.
One day, during a busy shift, a customer came into our café. She seemed to be in a very bad mood and asked me to make her an iced latte.
After placing her order, she went to sit at a table near the exit. She kept looking outside but seemed very nervous.
From time to time, she asked if her coffee was ready. When I told her to wait a few more minutes because there were many orders, she would grimace in dissatisfaction and mutter something under her breath.
When I called her to tell her her order was ready, she came over and accused me of being too slow. I tried to calmly explain that I was relearning how to walk and that there was a lot of work, but she refused to listen.
Then she took the coffee and threw it in my face, accusing me of faking my disability to gain sympathy. Then something very unexpected happened.

At that moment, the café door opened.
A well-dressed man walked in and approached her.
He spoke in a calm but firm voice.
From their conversation, I understood he was her boss.
He said he had seen everything from outside and was shocked by her behavior.
The woman tried to explain herself, but he didn’t let her continue.
He told her what she had done was unacceptable.
He asked her to leave the café immediately and also said there would be consequences at work.
Then he turned to me, apologized, and left.
