Carter Wiles, an 11-year-old boy, received the best Christmas gift – his loved ones announced that they were preparing to adopt him.
After reading the letter announcing this news, the boy could barely contain his emotions.
This story takes place in the state of Ohio, USA.
Leah Kiefart, Carter’s aunt, explains that all the relatives are well aware that the child is living with dysfunctional parents.
The woman discussed the adoption of the boy with other family members, exchanging ideas.
Together, they agreed that the best solution for Carter would be to welcome him into their large family.
For Christmas, all the parents gathered at Kiefart’s place.
Carter spent his time having fun with his cousins, aunt, and uncle. The little boy received many gifts and an emotional letter inviting him to become a member of their family.
The aunt placed the letter and a family photograph among other gifts. As Carter read the letter, he burst into tears.
“Carter, look, this is a recent photo of our family. Our whole family wants to see you in the next photo, and we want you to be a part of our family.
Carter, do you want to become a Kiefart, our son and brother? We love you,” wrote Aunt Leah.
After finishing the reading, Carter tearfully agreed. The aunt rushed towards the boy and hugged him tightly.
In the background, the uncle’s voice can be heard saying, “Now you can stay here forever or until you’re 18, then I’ll kick you out,” jokingly.
