A few years after the death of our only son, my husband and I decided to adopt a child. During our visit to the orphanage, we noticed a boy sitting in a corner. He was very quiet, lost in his thoughts.
The social worker, seeing our interest in him, spoke to us in a low voice: “This boy has already been adopted and returned three times. He is very difficult, he doesn’t obey, and I advise you to choose another child.”
