đŠ For an entire year, my algebra teacher mocked me in front of the whole class : one day, I had enough and did something that made him regret everything.
I was a quiet student with average grades, but I was particularly bad at math, and my teacher simply didnât like me.
He humiliated me in front of the whole class. When I raised my hand to ask him to repeat something I didnât understand, he would just reply: âSome students simply donât have a brain. They understand nothing, even if I repeat it several times.â
The class would laugh, and I felt terrible. Every time I asked him a question, he already had a remark ready. Sometimes, he smiled softly, as if it were an innocent joke. Other times, he said it in a tired tone, as if to show I was wasting his time.
The worst part was that no one ever stopped him. Once, I spoke to the counselor, but nothing changed. He was considered one of the best teachers, and no matter what happened, I was the one at fault. Parents adored him. The administrators trusted him.
This went on for an entire year, until the day I had enough and did something that made him regret everything.

One day, he challenged me: âIf youâre so confident, represent the school at the math championship!â
All the students burst out laughing, but this time, I accepted the challenge.
For two weeks, my father helped me every evening to understand the concepts.
He never mocked my questions, and thanks to his patience, everything started to become clear.
On the day of the championship, my hands were shaking, but I recognized the problems and solved them step by step.
Test after test, I made it to the final.
When I solved the last problem, I raised my hand.
The judges checked: it was correct.
In front of the entire audience, I thanked my father, then my algebra teacher.
âEvery time you humiliated me, I worked twice as hard to prove you wrong. Thank you,â I said.
And my teacher, pale and silent, finally understood the extent of his mistake and regretted all the humiliation.
